About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by the xRep AI widget and this website, what they do, and your choices. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. “Similar technologies” include local storage, device fingerprinting, and tracking pixels, which can identify your browser or device and record how you interact with a page. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all of these.
Strictly necessary
These are required to run the chat widget and cannot be switched off. They do not identify you for analytics or marketing.
- Session and state needed to load the widget, keep a conversation going, and remember whether you have responded to the consent prompt.
- Security and abuse-prevention signals needed to operate the Service safely.
Identification and analytics (consent-based)
None of the following activate unless and until you give consent when prompted. You can decline and continue chatting, or withdraw consent later.
xrep_vid visitor cookie
A durable first-party cookie that identifies this browser over time so we can recognize a returning visitor.
Device fingerprint (FingerprintJS)
A device identifier generated from your browser and device characteristics, used to recognize a returning visitor across sessions and devices. A device fingerprint is personal data.
Session replay (OpenReplay)
Records how you interact with the widget so we can improve the experience and help support reproduce issues. Inputs such as emails and numbers are obscured.
Environment and location signals
Client signals such as screen size, timezone, language, and platform, and approximate location (city and country) and firmographic information derived from your IP address, used for sales analytics and fraud prevention.
Your consent and choices
When you first use the widget, we ask for consent before turning on the identification and analytics technologies above. If you decline, they are not activated. If you accept and later change your mind, you can withdraw consent and we will stop collecting them going forward. You can also continue chatting anonymously for general questions.
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the widget from working correctly. Browser controls do not, on their own, disable device fingerprinting; use the consent choice above for that.
Third parties
Some technologies are provided by vendors who act as our processors, such as FingerprintJS and OpenReplay. Where xRepAI runs on a customer’s website, the customer and xRepAI handle visitor data under our Data Processing Agreement.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our technologies change; updates take effect from the “last updated” date above. Questions? Contact [email protected].
